The Pink Party is Janes second book about the extraordinary journey that is a womans experience with breast cancer. Jane writes of the joys, fears and achievements in her own life and in the lives of Manon and Colleen, all united by the breast cancer journey they share.

By telling Colleens story, Jane takes us into a territory not often explored and helps us to see how one woman found joy and hope right to the end of her life. Colleen faces the end of her journey and breast cancer returns for Manon. Colleen helped me understand that the will to live is powerful and life can be very simple, Jane says. Manon taught me about life in the moment the knees-up, hands in the air, champagne-cork-blowing spontaneity of it - and to celebrate every day.
Jane wrote The Pink Party to fulfil Colleens wish. Colleen was in the final stages of her journey with metastatic breast cancer and would often say how alone she felt with her disease, even though she was surrounded by love and support, says Jane. She wanted to share her story, hoping the words would bring some comfort, a sense of fellowship and strength to others in the same predicament. Unfortunately she was unable to do this while she was alive so The Pink Party offered a way for her to convey her message.
